Renting With Us
Clear costs, protected deposits and repairs that actually get dealt with. Here's what renting through us looks like.
What you'll need to apply
- Photo ID and proof of your right to rent in the UK.
- Proof of income — recent payslips, or accounts if you're self-employed.
- Current and previous landlord details where applicable.
- Proof of address, usually a recent utility bill or bank statement.
Referencing, explained
We check affordability, employment and rental history. If your income alone doesn't meet the threshold, a guarantor may be an option — ask us before you apply rather than after.
Deposits and holding payments
Your deposit is registered with an approved protection scheme and you'll receive the prescribed information. A holding deposit reserves the property while referencing takes place and is credited toward your first payment.
Moving in
- You'll receive the tenancy agreement to read before signing — ask about anything unclear.
- An inventory and condition report is completed and shared with you.
- Meter readings are recorded and utilities transferred into your name.
- Safety certificates and the How to Rent guide are provided.
Reporting repairs
Report issues as soon as they appear, with photos where you can. Genuine emergencies — no heating in winter, a leak, no power — are prioritised, and we'll tell you what's happening and when.
